A CONTROL FREAK WITH MS 

I had a mammogram Tuesday morning. The universe owes me a HUGE apology.

Long story short: On Sunday, March 27 I had viral laryngitis (completely unrelated to earlier bout) and a head cold.

My date with the ENT was quite an adventure.

A couple of days before Christmas, I got some good health news – sort of – and it would be remiss of me not to mention it here.

There’s a reason why this is my permanent address. Here’s my latest conundrum.

Several days before I fell and broke my hip, I consulted a medium.

It’s been five weeks since I broke my hip. I’ve had plenty of time to think and put it all in perspective.

What follows is a two-week account of a hip injury.

Last night, when I was wide awake at 2 AM, it occurred to me that I’ve never written about an actual day.

I never ask for the information. They offer it to me apropos of nothing. No previous conversation.

In long-term care settings and in private homes, they help people like me with what’s known in the business as “Activities of Daily Living.”

This latest problem began December 21, when I broke a filling in the last molar at the back of the left side of my jaw.

It means pretty much what it sounds like: my disease hasn’t been active for a while.

Remember the MRI I had back in October? I got the results yesterday, sooner than expected.

In a couple of days I will have the first MRI in a long time.

Back in the day when we lived in the schoolhouse, I had time and energy to make jam.
