Some thoughts after I tested positive for Covid 19, roughly 6 weeks ago.

I’m happy to announce the outbreak is over.

On January 19 Two staff members tested positive for Covid.

There’s a reason why this is my permanent address. Here’s my latest conundrum.

What follows is a two-week account of a hip injury.

Last night, when I was wide awake at 2 AM, it occurred to me that I’ve never written about an actual day.

Over the last 10 days or so they’ve been training new workers to replace the regular ones when they go on vacation this summer.

All my friends of similar ages and even younger with fewer conditions have received their vaccinations.

It finally happened. Just now, outside, off the beaten track. I got myself royally stuck.

In long-term care settings and in private homes, they help people like me with what’s known in the business as “Activities of Daily Living.”

I’ve learned that no matter how bad something is, it can almost always be worse.

It’s been a whole week of Mondays. Wednesday was perhaps the worst one of all.

I’m not taking advantage of all the extra free time. I hate to squander this precious resource.

She calls it the Room of Joy. Now we all do.

The front-line workers where I live are very near and dear to my heart. They make my existence so much better.
